The excitement is building up for you and your family about your upcoming sight-seeing dolphin tour in Tampa Bay, so we’d like to share some helpful tips to make the most of this memory-making experience.
Consider Seasickness
If this is a remote possibility for anyone in your family, make sure you are well prepared and bring along some motion sickness pills. Our tour boats offer very smooth rides, but it’s best to be prepared in case the water is a little choppy.
Dress the Part
Even though we are in beautiful sunny Florida, it can get cold during the winter, especially on the water. Make sure to check the weather prior to your scheduled tour and dress accordingly.
If it’s chilly, dress in layers – t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, windbreakers, hats, gloves, and a scarf. You can always take off the top layers if you get warm, but being cold will certainly put a damper on your trip.
Book Ahead and Arrive Early
Although we certainly welcome last-minute guests, it’s smart to book your trip ahead of time and arrive at least 15 minutes early. This is especially important with large groups. This way you have a guaranteed spot on the boat, and you can explore the marina or relax.
Take Your Camera
There’s a lot to see on our tour, so make sure you are prepared for pictures and video! Dolphin are fast, so if you have a quick snap camera, take it along with you to capture the dolphin at their best!
Be Patient
Unfortunately, nature doesn’t always want to cooperate. We certainly guarantee a good show, but it’s important to be patient and wait for the dolphin to make their appearance. The anticipation is what really adds to the excitement of dolphin watching. So sit back, relax, and wait for the show to begin!
