SST BEACH DAY CHECKLIST

Your No-Stress Beach Day Checklist

Are you daydreaming of white sandy beaches and beautiful Florida sunsets? Well, it’s time to get busy planning your summer vacay before the school bells start ringing! Whether you’re checking out downtown Tampa or heading to the beautiful beaches of St. Pete and Madeira Beach, there’s so much to do and see on the West Coast of Florida. If the beach is on your agenda (as it should be!), Dolphin Quest has the ultimate beach day checklist for you.

Beach Toys: Got the kids in tow? Make sure to bring beach toys so they can build the most awesome sandcastle ever! Other things the kids will love…kites, paddleboard, boogie boards, water guns, noodles, and floats. Adults only? Don’t leave home without corn hole.

Beach Chairs: This is a must-have if you plan to make the most of your beach vacay. Depending on where you are staying, they may be provided (however sometimes at a hefty price). It’s a good idea to call your hotel, condo, or rental management company to find out about their beach chair policy.

Cooler: Staying hydrated is the key to a long day at the beach, so load up on ice cold water and Remember: only leave footprints behind!

Baby Powder: Here’s a little trick from the locals… Baby powder is a must-have to remove sand! Keep some in your beach bag to remove sand from your legs and feet before getting into the car or walking into your favorite beachfront restaurant.

Beach Umbrellas and Tent: If you’ve got a pop-up tent, definitely bring it. This will provide coverage for the entire family. Take along some umbrellas as well for back up shade. You can never have enough!

A pop up tent is the way to go for a beach day. If you can, get one with windows or vented areas to let the ocean breeze through.

Sunscreen: Don’t forget the sunscreen! The Florida sun is intense, so apply (and reapply) even if it’s overcast, late afternoon, or early in the morning. You don’t want a sunburn to ruin your perfect Madeira beach vacation.

Beach Radio: Nothing puts you in beach mode like some awesome tropical tunes. Take a speaker with you and play your favorite Pandora Beach radio stations from your smartphone.

Towels: Whether you’re in the car, at the beach, or fresh from the pool, you’re going to need a good supply of beach towels. Again, check with your condo, hotel, or rental management company as beach towels may be provided. However, it’s still a good idea to bring your own just in case.

Extra Beach Attire: When you’re at the beach, pack light! Nothing says easy, breezy like a cute romper, sarong, or beach cover-up. And don’t forget important accessories like sunglasses and beach hats!

Water Proof Bag: It’s a good idea to keep a small waterproof bag inside your beach bag. This is where you can keep important items like your cell phone, cash, ID, etc.

When you’re visiting Madeira Beach, St. Pete, or the surrounding cities of Tampa Bay, make sure to include our sightseeing dolphin tour on your itinerary! Set sail from John’s Pass on our beautiful, spacious catamaran to witness dolphin in their natural habitat and explore the waters of the intercoastal. Dolphin Quest is an experience you’ll never forget! For more information or to check availability, give us a call at (727) 423-7824.
