What to Expect
“Dive into Boca Ciega Bay!” and Fintastic Fridays are innovative educational series designed to engage students in grades 3-5 with the fascinating ecosystem of Boca Ciega Bay through the lens of its charismatic inhabitants, the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. This program aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the local environment, while also instilling a sense of responsibility for its conservation among young learners. Through interactive episodes, you’ll discover:
- Marine Wildlife: Meet dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and countless fish species that call Boca Ciega Bay home.
- Ecosystems: Explore the seagrass meadows, mangrove forests, and sandy bottoms that play a critical role in the health of the bay.
- Conservation Efforts: Learn about local and global initiatives to protect this fragile environment and how you can get involved in preserving Boca Ciega Bay for future generations.

An Educational Effort
We are proud to offer the Dive Into Boca Ciega Bay! Eco-Educational Series to schools for free, providing a valuable resource for teachers to engage their students in environmental education. The storm caused extensive damage to our facilities, including our gift shop and dock, which serve as the launching point for the Dolphin Quest.
